The Review Committee meeting of the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), chaired by Shri Hardeep S. Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, in presence of Shri Panakaj Jain, Secretary MoPNG other officials of MoPNG, Shalivahan, Director IIPE and Ramphal Dwivedi Registrar IIPE, praised the progress of IIPE’s permanent campus, set to complete by June 2025. The Minister commended IIPE's academic initiatives, including the Sandwich PhD Programme, Fulbright Specialist Scholar Program, Faculty Mobility Programme, Joint MBA with IIM Visakhapatnam, and the B. Tech + MS program with the University of Houston. He highlighted the institute's R&D growth, patent filings, and strong 98% student placement. Applauding IIPE’s social responsibility efforts, such as increasing the Gender ratio, the JIGYASA Scheme and teacher training, Shri Puri advised IIPE to lead research in alternative fuels, green hydrogen, and fuel blending, aligning with India’s energy transition and enhancing its global collaborations and standing as a top energy institute. 13-October-2024
