IIPE hosts the 'Earth’s Materials for Energy: Mantle to Market (EE & MM - 2024)' conference on February 1-2, 2024, at Hotel Green Park in Visakhapatnam. The Chief Guest of the event was Prof. Saibal Gupta, IIT Kharagpur and Member BoG, IIPE and the Guest of Honour was Shri. Kaustav Nag, Additional Director General (Exploration), DGH. Dr. Sujit Kumar Tripathy, Deputy Director General of GSI addressed the gathering during inaugural. Prof. Shalivahan, IIPE's Director, highlighted academic progress and secured over fifty crores in funding, with a notable industrial project on hydrogen generation with NTPC. Initiatives include fellowships for girls, Ph.D. programs with foreign universities and collaborations with institutions like the University of Houston. Then Prof. Vijay Kumar, EE & MM - 2024 convener, discussed six key themes around Earth's resources for energy, involving 41 global experts. Shri Ramphal Dwivedi, IIPE's Registrar, congratulated the organizers, and faculty actively participated in the event. 02-February-2024
