Library FAQs

The Institute library is committed to serving its users; the maximum possible information is provided on the website. However, library services FAQs are maintained for immediate response.

Library Membership and Circulation Services.

All the students, scholars, and academic and non-academic staff are eligible for library membership.


Currently, Non-IIPEians are not eligible for library membership.


The library membership can be taken by visiting the library with an admission ticket and One Passport size photograph.


Library OPAC is open to all. You can access the library OPAC through www.opac.iipe.ac.in


Users can log in to their account through OPAC using login credentials provided by the library.

Issued books can be returned by visiting the library during working hours.


Inform immediately to the library in writing and get your card blocked to prevent misuse.


If a borrowed book is lost, the concerned user needs to replace the book with a new one. If not available, the user needs to pay a fine per the library rules.


You can get a new Library Membership card by paying a certain amount.


The library does not accept cash. You need to pay online using SBI Collect or by scanning the QR code available in the library.


The library is a beneficiary institutional member of the Developing Library Network (DELNET). The library may arrange the requested book from there through ILL. Concerned users need to pay one side postal charge through Cheque.


Textbooks are for use in the library only.


Reference books cannot be borrowed.


Timing:
Monday to Friday: 0900 Hours to 1900 hours
Saturday: 1000 Hours to 1600 Hours
• Sunday and Institute holidays library remain closed.
• Library hours are adjustable during examinations and vacations.


You can get No DUES from the library after returning borrowed books/materials from the library.
