Greetings from the office of Dean (Research and Development), Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, Visakhapatnam!
Research is the backbone of any academic institute, more so for a growing institute like Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE). From its inception, the IIPE has been committed to promoting high-quality fundamental and applied research. The Dean (R&D) office at IIPE focuses on the establishment of infrastructure facilities and creating a conducive environment for accelerated growth of the research activities in the Institute. We provide standard mechanisms and protocols and facilitate carrying out cutting-edge research at IIPE. The faculty of IIPE are passionate about their research and engage in a multitude of research areas covering fundamental and applied facets of STEM in general and Energy sector in particular.
The R&D office enables the faculty to execute and honor research collaborations and commitments in a smooth and time-bound manner. The R&D office strives to build progressive and vibrant research partnerships with PSUs, Industry and research institutes. We invite all the academia/industries to utilize our expertise in addressing your fundamental and applied research needs. The R&D office has also taken initiatives for creating and operating mechanisms for the Institute's Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR).
In its endeavor to develop a strong research culture, the IIPE provides an
Institutional Research Grant to Faculty on their joining the Institute. The IRG helps the faculty to build basic infrastructure and computational facilities.
The office of Dean (R&D) desires to play a pivotal role in the rapid academic progress of the Institute. In this endeavor, we thank all the stakeholders – Government/Non-Government funding agencies, PSUs, Industries and collaborating research institutes for helping us in our journey to realize our dream of being a global leader in the domains of Energy Science and Sustainable Engineering.
