The Institute offers research opportunities leading to a PhD degree. The degree is awarded based on a candidate’s successful completion of coursework, examinations, and seminars; publication of original research / conferences or award of patents/technology transfer etc.; and submission and defense of a thesis demonstrating significant and original contributions to knowledge or technology.
Candidates should carefully read the eligibility criteria as provided in the Information Brochure before applying for the programme. Since all applications will be screened/shortlisted based on the data submitted in the online application form, candidates must ensure they meet the required eligibility criteria.
If at any stage it is found that a candidate has furnished incorrect or false information, or does not meet the eligibility criteria specified in the brochure, their candidature/admission will be rejected or cancelled.
Online applications are invited for admission to the Ph.D Programme [Regular with Institute Research Fellowship, Individual Fellowship (CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/INSPIRE), Ph.D. through Project, Sponsored (External), Sponsored (Part Time), and QIP] in the disciplines of Bioscience, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry and Earth Sciences.
Admission of reserved-category candidates will be done as per Government of India notification.
Once submitted, the application cannot be modified or resubmitted under any circumstances. No requests for changes will be entertained. Please ensure all information is ready before applying.

Fill Online Application Form Register with your Email ID and login. Fill in all required details. Upload testimonials, photograph, and signature wherever required. |

Payment & Submission Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway and submit the application. |

Print Application After the final submission of your online application, you can generate and download your application print containing your specific details/data. This printout should be retained for future reference. |

| Multiple Specializations | If you wish to apply for more than one specialization, you must submit separate applications by paying a separate application fee for each specialization. |
Visakhapatnam is the only Legal Jurisdiction for any dispute arising on the eve of admissions into IIPE. In case of disputes, Hon'ble High Court at Amaravathi, Andhra Pradesh is the legal jurisdiction.
