About the Office
Research is the backbone of any academic institute more so for Higher Education Institution like IIPE, Visakhapatnam. The office of the Dean (R&D) provides standard mechanisms and protocols and facilitates carrying out cutting-edge research in the Institute. The office makes efforts in providing g basic infrastructure facilities and creating conducive environment for accelerated growth of the research activities of the Institute. The office, through standard policies and guidelines, will strive to help the faculty to execute and honour research activities and commitments in a smooth and time-bound manner.
The Office of the Dean (R&D) strives to
- Bring awareness among the faculty on funding, fellowships, publications, consultancy and research ethics
- To create conducive environment for research in the Institute
- Formulate framework for providing basic infrastructure, seed money, incentives especially for young faculty members.
- Enhance Extramural Funds through sponsored projects, industrial consultancy
- Institute lecture series by eminent scientists
- Initiate operating mechanisms for Institute’s Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) through Internships for school, undergraduate and graduate students, teacher mentoring programs, etc.,
- Foster collaborative academic and research activities with Universities, Industries and Labs through MoUs
- Identify industries/institutes for collaboration and involvement of institute through industry/research conclaves.
